About the position

The Python Analytic Developer at Leidos is responsible for developing analytics and prototypes that leverage data from various cyber sources to support mission operations. This role emphasizes collaboration within small teams and focuses on innovative approaches to enhance tradecraft and analytics. The position is part of a fast-paced environment that encourages professional growth and aims to deliver effective solutions for customer needs.

Responsibilities

  • Use leading edge technologies to develop analytics pulling data from multiple cyber sources as well as ELINT & TechSIGINT.
  • Develop prototypes answering new questions as well as providing better answers to existing questions based on customer direction.
  • Partner with tool developers, mission leads, and tradecraft experts to identify organizational business needs to create analytics that capture relevant metric data as they relate to metric collection.
  • Provide development support to analytic front ends to verify conformity and performance to proposed GUI designs.
  • Ability to manage, organize, and clean up existing code and perform unit testing.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree plus 5-years of relevant experience or Master's degree plus 3-years of relevant experience. An Associate's degree plus 7-years of relevant experience or high school diploma/GED plus 9-years of relevant experience may be considered for individuals with in-depth experience that is clearly related to the position.
  • Computer Science (CS) degree or related field.
  • TS/SCI clearance with polygraph.
  • Strong Python skills using Pandas, developing software in Red Hat Linux (versions 3 - 5+).
  • Experience with Jupyter Notebooks.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with GHOSTMACHINE analytic development.
  • Familiarity with AI/ML.
  • Familiarity with PDW files.
