About the position

The Python Automation Developer role is a contract position based in Fremont, CA, focused on developing scalable and efficient test automation solutions primarily using Python. The position requires strong coding skills in Python, particularly in relation to hardware, and involves working closely with the Core Framework team to enhance test reliability and coverage.

Responsibilities

• Develop tests that are scalable, platform agnostic, and parameterized for efficient platform qualification.
• Identify areas for test coverage improvement and implement solutions to enhance validation signals.
• Design tests that collect and report data for analysis and continuous improvement.
• Create features for troubleshooting unique failures from tests run on various configuration permutations.
• Run tests and collaborate with the Core Framework team to improve test reliability.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Electronics Engineering.
• 8+ years of work experience in troubleshooting and analytical roles.
• Proven experience with object-oriented Python programming for developing tests in a Linux environment.
• Experience working through the full life cycle of server/storage platforms.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Experience with open-source tools for platform validation.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with hardware/firmware/software health issue detection and diagnosis.
• Experience in developing tests for Servers/Storage platforms or components.
