About the position

The Lead Python Automation Engineer will be responsible for developing and implementing automation solutions using Python and various scripting languages. This role requires a strong background in information technology, particularly in process automation, database management, and software engineering practices. The position is based onsite in one of the specified locations and involves collaboration with teams in the banking and finance domain.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement automation solutions using Python and scripting languages.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance process automation.
• Manage database activities including provisioning, patching, and version upgrades.
• Utilize software engineering design patterns and practices in automation projects.
• Participate in Agile development methodologies such as SCRUM or Extreme Programming.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in a related field, or three years of progressive experience in lieu of education.
• At least 4 years of experience in Information Technology.
• Proficiency in Python, Unix/KSH shell scripting, or PowerShell.
• Hands-on experience with process automation.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with RDBMS, SQL, and NoSQL databases.
• Knowledge of Python memory management and concurrency (GIL).
• Experience with Guardium for database activity monitoring.
• Familiarity with software engineering design patterns and practices.
• Experience in the Banking and Finance domain.
