About the position

The AWS / Python / Java Developer role at Broadridge is designed for an experienced software developer who is passionate about creating mission-critical software. This position emphasizes collaboration and innovation in a remote work environment, focusing on developing cloud-based applications and integrating with various systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Python, Java, and AWS technologies, and will be responsible for writing clean code, data design, testing, and troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Write clean code and perform data design, testing, and troubleshooting.
• Participate in team design sessions, code reviews, daily standup meetings, and other agile ceremonies.
• Deliver accurate efforts and estimates for assigned development tasks, and review estimates for tasks assigned to others.
• Collaborate with the QA team to diagnose possible bugs and guide them on testing requirements for new code changes.
• Adopt new technologies as per project needs and demonstrate quick learning capabilities.
• Work on a Cloud-based project integrating with client and internal systems using Java, Python, Glue, Lambda, S3, and Redshift.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience with Python and PySpark.
• 5+ years of experience with Java.
• Strong experience with AWS Glue.
• Working knowledge of Oracle SQL, PL/SQL, and Stored Procedures.
• Experience with REST API development, debugging, and testing in an AWS environment.
• API Integration experience, including HTTP request/response and authentication concepts.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in data models and data analysis preferred.
• Experience with AWS services such as Redshift, CloudWatch, S3, and Terraform.
• Experience working within an agile scrum team.
