About the position

The Python Data Developer role at Roundstone focuses on data transformation and standardization within a fast-growing, data-driven company. The position requires expertise in handling large and complex datasets, with a strong emphasis on data parsing efficiencies and continuous improvement. The developer will be responsible for designing, developing, implementing, and maintaining datasets using Python, while also collaborating with internal teams to provide effective technical solutions.

Responsibilities

• Write, test, and debug scalable Python code for back-end development.
• Utilize debugging tools to identify and fix bugs in the code.
• Create and maintain thorough documentation for code and processes.
• Set up and implement data storage solutions.
• Review code for errors and make necessary corrections during and after development.
• Enhance the functionality of existing Python scripts and migrate code to modern data infrastructure in Azure.
• Assess and prioritize feature requests based on project needs.
• Collaborate with internal teams to understand requirements and provide technical solutions.

Requirements

• Proficient in Python programming and core concepts.
• Experience with data transformation and standardization.
• Knowledge of SQL coding and stored procedures.
• Practical experience with Microsoft Azure cloud platform.
• Ability to handle very large and complex datasets.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to multitask.
• Experience with data management and automation.

Nice-to-haves

• Familiarity with machine learning libraries such as Pandas, TensorFlow, and scikit-learn.
• Experience working with large scale data warehouse solutions such as Azure Synapse.
• Strong understanding of relevant frameworks and libraries.
