About the position

The Senior Python Developer at Virtusa will be responsible for building strategic and tactical projects for the Wholesale Lending business. This role requires a hands-on software engineer with extensive experience in Python development, particularly in full-stack web development. The position emphasizes collaboration within a team environment and the ability to adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain applications for the Wholesale Lending business.
• Write and review code to ensure high-quality software development.
• Collaborate with team members to design and implement new features.
• Utilize Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) tools.
• Work with both relational and non-relational databases, including MongoDB and Oracle.
• Demonstrate problem-solving and decision-making skills in application development.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in Python development.
• Full-stack Python web development experience preferred.
• Experience with relational and non-relational databases.
• Familiarity with MongoDB and/or Oracle.
• Experience in the financial services industry is required.
• Understanding of Wholesale Lending or Markets Trading is preferred.
• Proficiency in Windows and Linux operating systems.
• Ability to write shell and batch programs.
• Experience with CI/CD tools.
