About the position

The Senior Python Developer will play a crucial role in supporting an enterprise-wide software migration from Broadcom to Blue Planet. This position requires a highly skilled professional with extensive experience in Python development, Kubernetes, Linux, and GitLab, who can ensure a smooth transition while collaborating with cross-functional teams to design and deploy scalable software applications.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and implementation of Python-based solutions to support the migration from Broadcom to Blue Planet
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and deploy robust and scalable software applications
• Utilize Kubernetes for container orchestration and management, ensuring high availability and scalability of applications
• Manage and optimize Linux-based systems to support the development and deployment environments
• Utilize GitLab for version control, CI/CD pipelines, and code review processes
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues that may arise during the migration process
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers and other team members
• Document technical specifications, system architecture, and processes to ensure knowledge transfer and project continuity
• Ensure adherence to best practices in software development, security, and performance optimization

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• 5+ years of experience as a Python Developer, with a focus on enterprise-level applications
• Proven experience in supporting enterprise-wide migrations, preferably involving Blue Planet or similar platforms
• Strong proficiency in Kubernetes, including container orchestration, management, and deployment
• Extensive experience with Linux-based systems and shell scripting
• Proficiency in GitLab for version control, CI/CD, and collaboration
• Solid understanding of software development methodologies, including Agile and DevOps practices
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues effectively
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with diverse teams
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
