About the position

The Python Developer / Data Engineer role at Dexian involves developing automation scripts and tools, creating ETL processes, and working with cloud-based architectures. The position requires advanced knowledge in Python and experience with AWS services, particularly CloudFormation and Lambda. The role is focused on data management and analytics, requiring strong technical skills and the ability to work with various data platforms.

Responsibilities

• Develop scripts and tools for automation of system provisioning, deployment, upgrade, and scaling using Python.
• Create ETLs to extract data from various operational systems.
• Develop solutions on cloud-based architecture.
• Promote key strategic technologies in public APIs, Big Data, and Analytics.
• Utilize relational, dimensional, and/or analytic experience with RDBMS, dimensional, NoSQL data platform technologies, and ETL and data ingestion protocols.
• Work with data warehouse, data lake, and enterprise big data platforms.
• Manage metadata, data modeling, and related tools effectively.

Requirements

• 3+ years of hands-on experience in Python development.
• Experience with AWS services including CloudFormation, Glue, and Lambda functions.
• Advanced knowledge in ETL processes and data warehousing.
• Familiarity with Terraform and GitLab is highly preferred.
• Some understanding of big data technologies.
• Strong communication and team management skills.
• Advanced SQL skills.
