The Python Developer position in Irving, TX, is focused on contributing to strategic and tactical projects within the Wholesale Lending business. The role requires a strong background in Python development, particularly in creating RESTful web services and microservices, while ensuring high code quality and performance. The developer will work closely with a team and engage in daily coding activities, emphasizing the importance of unit testing and CI/CD processes.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain applications using Advanced Python.
• Create RESTful web services using Fast API, Flask, or Django.
• Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in Applications Development.
• Implement microservices and handle messaging in commercial applications.
• Write high-quality code daily and ensure code performance and quality.
• Conduct unit testing and manage build processes in CI/CD environments.
• Work with both relational and non-relational databases.
• Write shell and batch programs as needed.
• Utilize version control tools such as GIT, SVN, and Bitbucket.

Requirements

• Strong knowledge and development experience in Advanced Python.
• Proficiency in developing RESTful web services.
• Experience with Fast API, Flask, or Django for API development.
• Demonstrated expertise in Applications Development as a Subject Matter Expert (SME).
• Commercial experience with microservices and messaging.
• Hands-on experience in software engineering with daily coding responsibilities.
• Knowledge of code quality, performance, unit testing, and CI/CD build processes.
• Understanding of relational and non-relational databases.
• Ability to write shell and batch programs.
• Experience with version control tools like GIT, SVN, and Bitbucket.
