About the position

The Python Developer IV position involves building a Combined Edit Module (CCEM) for dental edits using Python. The role emphasizes strong Python coding skills, with responsibilities including analysis, design, programming, and implementation of complex applications. The developer will work closely with team members and stakeholders to ensure solutions align with business requirements and IT strategies, while also providing guidance to lower-level programmers.

Responsibilities

  • Build a Combined Edit Module (CCEM) for dental edits in Python.
  • Ensure data is passed through the existing system via Java to the host (Mainframe).
  • Perform analysis, design, programming, and implementation of complex applications tasks and projects.
  • Devise feasible, logical procedures to resolve business problems using computer resources.
  • Review detailed specifications and recommend modifications.
  • Design, code, test, and debug complex application programs.
  • Produce deliverables related to the assigned project.
  • Evaluate interrelationships in programming areas to determine the impact of changes.
  • Assist in post-implementation support and system enhancements.
  • Test modified programs, create necessary test files and data, and verify logic.
  • Provide guidance to lower-level programmers/analysts and act as an internal consultant.

Requirements

  • 6 years of application development, systems testing, or related experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field; or equivalent experience.
  • Strong proficiency in Python and Java.
  • Comprehensive understanding of application development and quality assurance methodologies.
  • Excellent analysis, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and team-building capabilities.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with X12/TR3 layout.
  • Familiarity with project management concepts.
  • Knowledge of cloud technologies.
