About the position

We are seeking a Python Developer with a strong background in object-oriented programming and SQL to drive the development of next-generation tests and improve existing business processes. The role involves collaborating with stakeholders to gather requirements, designing and implementing tests, and delivering high-quality code while ensuring effective communication and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Pro-actively work with stakeholders across the company to collect requirements and understand business processes.
• Design tests and implement them to meet the requirements.
• Execute activities that form the end-to-end test development life cycle.
• Develop innovative approaches to testing of operational and compliance risk.
• Deliver high-quality code and identify opportunities to improve documentation and SDLC processes.
• Communicate proposed solutions to improve existing tests/processes effectively.
• Produce clear and coherent technical documentation for internal and regulatory purposes.
• Take ownership to deliver results and meet critical deadlines.

Requirements

• 5+ years of core object-oriented Python development experience.
• Expertise in SQL.
• Experience working with structured and unstructured data.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong programming skills including SQL and Python.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience building automation tooling optimized for large datasets.
• Understanding of financial markets and products.
