About the position

We are seeking a skilled Python Developer with expertise in Azure Cloud technologies to develop applications that integrate Purview classification results into On-Prem systems and load them into a data mart for data sensitivity reporting. The role involves building applications that connect to EventHub and Purview APIs in Azure to retrieve classification information.

Responsibilities

• Build applications in On-Prem environments that connect to Azure EventHub and Purview APIs.
• Load Purview classification results into a data mart for data sensitivity reporting.
• Define custom classifications using Purview APIs according to project needs.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand user requirements and provide technical solutions.

Requirements

• Strong programming experience in Python, including knowledge of Collections, OOP, Higher-order functions, Pandas, exception handling, multiprocessing, packaging, design, and architectural patterns.
• Experience with Azure Cloud technologies, specifically Azure Functions, Azure Data Lake Storage Gen2, Data Bricks, Cosmos DB, Data Factory, and EventGrid/EventHub (AMQP, KAFKA Endpoints).
• Ability to translate application agile storyboards and use cases into functional applications.
• Experience in testing code, debugging, and using automation testing tools like PyTest and UnitTest.
• Skills in version control with tools like Git/Bitbucket.
• Good understanding of databases, SQL, shell scripting, Linux commands, and streaming services like Kafka.
