About the position

The Python Developer role at TEKsystems involves developing and maintaining code for a new automation project focused on loan processing within the fintech industry. The position requires a strong background in Python development, SQL proficiency, and experience with automated testing using Pytest. The developer will work closely with project management and subject matter experts to ensure effective code reviews and testing, contributing to a team-oriented environment with a focus on efficiency and productivity.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain code for automation projects related to loan processing.
• Perform end-to-end testing and automated testing using Pytest.
• Collaborate with project management and SMEs to review code and ensure quality.
• Provide L3 Production Support for Python-based applications.
• Document lessons learned and maintain a knowledge database.
• Coordinate end-to-end application onboarding to production.
• Engage with business users and application owners during problem resolution.
• Occasionally support off-hour deployments and application validations.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of hands-on Python development experience.
• Proficiency in SQL and ability to write complex SQL queries.
• Experience with automated testing using Pytest.
• Knowledge of DevOps platforms is helpful.
• Experience in the fintech industry is a plus.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with CI/CD environments.
• Familiarity with Agile software development processes.
