About the position

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Python Developer with over 15 years of expertise in designing, developing, and optimizing Python-based applications. This role is suited for a seasoned professional with a strong technical background in Python, system architecture, and large-scale application development. As a senior member of our development team, you will lead complex projects, mentor junior developers, and ensure that technical solutions meet both functional and business objectives.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, architecture, and implementation of advanced Python applications, ensuring scalability, performance, and robustness.
• Establish and uphold best practices in code quality, emphasizing maintainability, security, and efficiency.
• Work closely with Product Management, DevOps, and other teams to ensure seamless integration and project delivery.
• Continuously monitor and enhance application performance by optimizing resource usage, reducing latency, and ensuring system stability.
• Provide guidance to junior and mid-level developers through code reviews and technical mentoring.
• Create and maintain thorough technical documentation to support development processes and facilitate knowledge transfer.
• Stay updated on the latest Python frameworks and tools, advocating for technologies that add value to the organization.
• Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues in development and production environments.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent practical experience).
• 15+ years of professional experience with a strong focus on Python development, including experience in architecting, developing, and maintaining high-performance applications.
• Expertise in Python frameworks such as Django, Flask, and FastAPI.
• Proficient in SQL and NoSQL databases, with experience designing scalable data architectures.
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and CI/CD pipelines.
• Extensive experience in microservices architecture and distributed systems design.
• Familiarity with ETL processes and tools such as Spark, Kafka, and Hadoop.
• Proven experience in leading development teams and excellent communication skills for technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for diagnosing and resolving complex technical challenges.

Benefits

• Contract W2 position with a competitive pay rate of $55 - $60 per hour.
