About the position

The biotechnology company is looking for a front-end Python developer to create interactive and data-driven web applications. The role focuses on utilizing Python, Flask, and Dash to build user-friendly interfaces and effective data visualizations, while also ensuring integration with back-end services and maintaining high-quality standards through testing and debugging.

Responsibilities

• Creating user interfaces for data-driven web applications using Dash components, layouts, and callbacks.
• Building interactive charts, graphs, and dashboards to present data insights effectively using Plotly.
• Integrating Dash applications with Flask to handle routing, authentication, and other web application functionalities.
• Utilizing HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to enhance the look and feel of Dash applications and create custom components when needed.
• Working with data from various sources, such as databases, APIs, or CSV files, and processing it for visualization and analysis.
• Writing unit tests, conducting user acceptance testing, and debugging applications to ensure quality and functionality.

Requirements

• Strong proficiency in Python (5+ years) including knowledge of its libraries and frameworks relevant to web development.
• Experience in building web applications with the Flask framework (3+ years), including routing, templating, and handling HTTP requests.
• Expertise in using Dash to create interactive and data-driven web applications (2+ years).
• Understanding of front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) to customize Dash applications and create custom components.
• Knowledge of data visualization principles and experience with libraries like Plotly.
• Experience in writing unit tests and debugging applications (1+ years).
