About the position

The CI Automation Engineer role at HCLTech involves developing and managing software lifecycle automation solutions. The position requires extensive experience in designing and implementing automation workflows, managing software lifecycle platforms, and working with various programming languages and tools. The engineer will be responsible for ensuring efficient software development processes through automation and testing.

Responsibilities

• Write software lifecycle automation software using Java and Python.
• Design and implement complex process automation workflows using tools like Jenkins Pipelines, GitHub Actions, and Gitlab CI.
• Manage software lifecycle platforms including source code, continuous integration, binary storage, and code scanning services.
• Create and manage unit, functional, regression, and acceptance tests.
• Utilize GIT for code promotion flow, including branches and pull requests.
• Manage Windows and Linux headless infrastructure.
• Create and manage Linux Docker images.
• Work with deployment tools and platforms.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in software lifecycle automation.
• Proficiency in Java and Python programming languages.
• Experience in designing and implementing automation workflows.
• Experience managing software lifecycle platforms.
• Comfortable with GIT and code promotion flow.
• Experience managing Windows and Linux headless infrastructure.
• Experience with Docker and deployment tools.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in enterprise IT platform migrations and enablement.
• Familiarity with Ansible playbooks and roles.
• Experience with Kubernetes and/or Rancher.
• Familiarity with the Atlassian platform (Bitbucket, JIRA, Confluence).
• Familiarity with the Artifactory platform.
• Familiarity with PMEASE Quickbuild CI platform.
• Experience with code scanning services such as Blackduck Hub, Coverity, and/or Klocwork.
• Experience in embedded firmware development.

Benefits

• Competitive hourly rate of $45/hr to $50/hr on W2.
