About the position

The Python Developer position focuses on developing applications and services utilizing Python and Java, with a strong emphasis on Big Data technologies. The role involves building and maintaining application pipelines that support AI/ML models, ensuring efficient data processing and model output consumption. The developer will work on-site in Phoenix, AZ, and is expected to have a solid understanding of both SQL and NoSQL databases, as well as experience in cloud platforms and CI/CD practices.

Responsibilities

• Develop applications and services using Python and Java.
• Build and maintain application pipelines for AI/ML model execution.
• Write complex SQL and NoSQL queries and optimize data pipelines.
• Work with Big Data technologies including Map-Reduce, Hive, and Spark.
• Utilize UNIX shell scripting for application development.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines using GitHub.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or higher degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong programming skills in Python and Java.
• Experience in building and maintaining application pipelines for AI/ML models.
• Proficiency in writing complex SQL (Hive/PySpark) and NoSQL queries.
• Experience in the Big Data ecosystem including Map-Reduce, Hive, Spark, and UNIX shell scripting.
• Experience in building applications and services on cloud platforms.
• Familiarity with GitHub and CI/CD practices.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
