About the position

Genesis10 is seeking a Python Developer for a 12+ month contract position in the financial industry, specifically focused on high-performance analytical development in Python related to portfolio risk. The role requires extensive experience in relevant fields and a solid understanding of capital market assets.

Requirements

• 10+ years of development experience in relevant fields
• Extensive experience in high-performance analytical development in Python in portfolio risk
• Fair understanding of capital market assets from analytical and reference data perspectives (e.g., Equity Options, Corporate Bonds, Interest Rate/Bond Futures, Currency Options)
• Basic understanding of financial product risk and its application in portfolio risk
• Ability to work in mid-sized teams with good communication skills

Nice-to-haves

• Familiarity with Quartz
• Experience with Python math libraries such as NumPy, SciPy
• Experience with multi-threaded/multi-processing/multi-tasking application development in Python
