About the position

The Python Developer role is focused on developing and maintaining ETL processes using Python. The position requires strong programming skills, particularly in Python, and familiarity with various libraries and AWS services. This is a contract-to-hire position based in San Antonio, TX, requiring onsite presence.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain ETL processes using Python.
• Leverage APIs for data integration and manipulation.
• Utilize AWS services such as Lambda and Step Functions for cloud-based solutions.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Cloud Formation and Ansible/YAML templates.

Requirements

• Proficiency in Python as a fundamental skill.
• Experience with ETL processes written in Python.
• Familiarity with libraries such as Pandas, Pydantic, Boto3, Py ODBC, and SQL Alchemy.
• Understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP).
• Experience leveraging APIs for data handling.
• Knowledge of AWS services.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with AWS Step Functions.
• Familiarity with AWS Lambda.
• Knowledge of SQS (Simple Queue Service).
