About the position

The Python Developer position at Intelliswift Software Inc. involves providing L3 production support for Python-based applications, enhancing code, and resolving technical issues. The role requires collaboration with business users and application owners to ensure efficient application onboarding and deployment, while also documenting processes and lessons learned. This is a contract position based in McLean, VA, with a hybrid work model.

Responsibilities

• Provide L3 Production Support for Python-based I&CM core applications.
• Provide solutions to technical issues, including hands-on code enhancements and defect fixing.
• Serve as a champion for change and drive for tactical outcomes to increase development team's efficiency and productivity.
• Engage with business users, application owners, and other affected parties during problem resolution.
• Document lessons learned and help maintain a knowledge database.
• Coordinate end-to-end application onboarding to production.
• Occasional off-hour deployment and application validation support.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of hands-on Python development experience.
• Proficient with SQL and able to write complex SQL queries.
• Experience in designing and implementing web-based applications using Python.
• Ability to perform code analysis, requirements analysis, and software reliability analysis.
• Experience with standard code management tools including Git and Agile software development processes.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with DevOps (CICD) environments is a plus.
• Experience in the financial industry is a plus.
