About the position

The Python Developer (Azure) position at Ztek Consulting Inc involves developing applications that integrate Azure cloud technologies with on-premises systems. The role focuses on utilizing Azure services to bring classification results from Purview to data marts for data sensitivity reporting, requiring strong programming skills in Python and experience with various Azure components.

Responsibilities

• Build applications On-Prem and connect to EventHub and Purview APIs in Azure.
• Bring in classification information for data sensitivity reporting.
• Translate application agile storyboards and use cases into functional applications.
• Test code, debug, and find bugs in the code.
• Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand user requirements and provide technical solutions.

Requirements

• Strong Python programming experience including Collections, OOP, Higher-order functions, Pandas, exception handling, multiprocessing, packaging, design, and architectural patterns.
• Experience with Azure Cloud technologies such as Azure functions, Azure Data Lake Storage Gen2, Data Bricks, Cosmos DB, Data Factory, Event Grid/EventHub (AMQP, KAFKA Endpoints).
• Familiarity with Purview APIs and the ability to define custom classifications.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with manual testing and automation testing tools like Pytest and Unit Test.
• Skills in version control, particularly with Git/Bitbucket.
• Good understanding of databases, SQL, shell scripts, and Linux command.
• Experience with streaming services like Kafka.
