About the position

The Python Developer position at The AES Group involves working as part of a user study team to maintain and enhance existing data pipelines and contribute to machine learning applications. The role requires a strong understanding of complex datasets and the ability to improve data collection and analysis processes. The ideal candidate will be proficient in Python and have experience in backend development, with the potential for full-stack responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and upgrade existing study data pipelines.
• Familiarize with collected data to improve efficiency in data collection, cleaning, and storage.
• Build new backend tools for data collection.
• Apply machine learning methods for data analysis, including regression and sentiment analysis.
• Work cross-functionally and adapt analyses quickly.
• If a full-stack engineer, build end-to-end applications on iOS devices using Xcode.

Requirements

• Pro level Python proficiency.
• Experience with complex datasets and integration across multiple systems.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Statistical analysis skills including hypothesis testing and statistical modeling.
• Experience with Git.
• Ability to work exceptionally well in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with R (optional).
• Familiarity with data visualization tools like R Shiny or Tableau.
• Background in data science, statistics, analytics, physics/math, life sciences, or neurosciences with a focus on bio-statistics or data science.
• Experience in clinical trials or studies.
