About the position

Infosys is seeking a Python Developer who will play a crucial role in enabling digital transformation for our clients through a global delivery model. In this position, you will be expected to conduct independent research on various technologies, recommend suitable solutions, and contribute to the establishment of technology-specific best practices and standards. Your responsibilities will include interfacing with key stakeholders and applying your technical proficiency across different stages of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). You will be part of a collaborative learning culture that values teamwork, rewards excellence, and respects diversity. As a Python Developer, you will participate in the requirements elicitation process and create comprehensive requirements documentation. You will also be responsible for creating design artifacts and supporting prototyping through the development of Proofs of Concept (POCs). Delivering high-quality code is paramount, and you will support your peers in quality checks to ensure that design requirements are met. Additionally, you will create user documentation for the assigned modules and perform validation activities across all types of testing, including Functional, Integration, System, and User Experience testing. Your role will also involve supporting the creation of the "Go Live" plan and managing the activities assigned to you within that plan. You will conduct root-cause analysis for any issues that arise post-implementation and work towards appropriate solutions. Participation in Knowledge Transfer sessions, preparation of system appreciation documents, and support for the transition process will also be part of your responsibilities. Furthermore, you will conduct impact analysis of logged issues, prioritize them, and ensure that production support is provided in accordance with committed Service Level Agreements (SLAs).

Responsibilities

• Participate and contribute to the requirements elicitation process and create requirements documentation.

• Deliver high quality code deliverables and support peers in quality checks such that design requirements are met.
• Create user documentation for the assigned modules.
• Perform validation activities for the assigned modules for all types of testing e.g., Functional, Integration, System, User Experience etc.
• Support the creation of 'Go Live' plan and manage assigned activities in the plan.
• Perform root-cause analysis of any issues that arise post-implementation and work on appropriate solutions.
• Participate in Knowledge Transfer sessions, prepare system appreciation documents and support the transition process.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution; will consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.
• At least 2 years of Information Technology experience.
• 2 years of experience in end-to-end implementation of projects in Python programming.
• Good understanding of OOPS concepts.
• Strong knowledge and hands-on experience in SQL, Unix shell scripting.

Nice-to-haves

• Sound knowledge of software engineering design patterns and practices.
• Strong knowledge in RESTful APIs, Data structures, Algorithms, Collections, Multi-threading and memory management and concurrency.
• Experience in Big data ecosystem using Hadoop, Spark, Scala using Python packages and libraries for large scale data.
• Knowledge in AIML (MLOps), LLM, Generative AI will be good to have.
• Good understanding of Agile software development frameworks.
• Experience in Banking domain.
• Strong communication and Analytical skills.
• Ability to work in teams in a diverse, multi-stakeholder environment comprising of Business and Technology teams.
• Experience and desire to work in a global delivery environment.
