About the position

The Python Developer position at BCforward involves working as an Application Programmer V in a collaborative Agile team environment. The role requires a high degree of initiative and technical excellence, focusing on the design, coding, debugging, testing, and troubleshooting of software applications. The developer will contribute to building sophisticated functionalities for the Treasury business, enhancing the management of the bank's liquidity.

Responsibilities

• Design, code, debug, test, and troubleshoot software applications.
• Collaborate with team members to provide innovative solutions under tight deadlines.
• Implement continuous delivery and integration within the software development life cycle.
• Translate complex business requirements into actionable items for developers.
• Maintain high standards by refactoring existing code to enhance readability and performance.
• Work on regulatory projects and high-volume applications.
• Develop distributed and scalable services, including RESTful and microservices.

Requirements

• Strong expertise and working experience in Python.
• Knowledge of computer science data structures and algorithms.
• Experience with ORM libraries like Sqlalchemy.
• Experience in databases, including NoSQL databases.
• Experience building distributed and scalable complex services.
• Experience with web services development and REST interfaces in Python.
• Experience with analytic reporting tools like Tableau.
• Strong analytical skills for technical and functional analysis.
• Experience working in Agile teams and knowledge of CICD, Jenkins, and Git.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience working in regulatory projects.
• Knowledge of Liquidity Reports like Fed5g, LCR, NSFR, CRD IV.
