About the position

The Python Developer position at Amazee Global Ventures Inc. is a contract role focused on leading data science initiatives. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in data science, machine learning, and analytics, with a strong emphasis on developing data-driven strategies that align with business objectives. This role requires collaboration across various teams and the ability to communicate complex data insights effectively.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a comprehensive data strategy, aligning data science initiatives with business objectives.
• Design, build, and deploy predictive and prescriptive models using machine learning and AI techniques.
• Lead the architecture, optimization, and management of large-scale data processing systems and pipelines.
• Develop and manage robust database solutions for effective data storage, retrieval, and analysis.
• Partner with teams across Product, Engineering, Marketing, Finance, and Operations to create data-driven solutions.
• Mentor and guide data science team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning.
• Convey complex data insights and actionable recommendations to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Ensure adherence to best practices in data quality, security, and compliance with regulatory standards.
• Stay updated on emerging trends, tools, and methodologies in data science to drive innovation.
• Assess and optimize data infrastructure, identifying opportunities for increased efficiency.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (Master's or Ph.D. preferred).
• 15+ years in data science, advanced analytics, or related fields.
• Proficiency in Python, R, and SQL.
• Expert knowledge of machine learning libraries such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or similar.
• Experience with big data tools such as Hadoop and Spark, as well as cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Strong understanding of ETL processes, data pipeline creation, and database management.
• Proficiency in statistical analysis, machine learning, AI algorithms, and deep learning techniques.
• Familiarity with data visualization platforms such as Tableau, Power BI, or equivalent.
• Proven experience leading data science teams with exceptional communication skills.
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical capabilities.

Nice-to-haves

• Deep expertise in Python programming.
• Familiarity with Snowflake or other modern data warehousing solutions.
• Knowledge of ETL frameworks, data pipeline management tools, and workflow systems.
• Experience with both SQL and NoSQL databases.
