About the position

Infosys is seeking a Python Developer. This position's primary responsibility will be to provide technical expertise and coordinate for day-to-day deliverables for the team. The chosen candidate will assist in the technical design of large business systems; builds applications, interfaces between applications, understands data security, retention, and recovery. The role holder should be able to research on technologies independently to recommend appropriate solutions and should contribute to technology-specific best practices and standards. The candidate will contribute to success criteria from design through deployment, including reliability, cost-effectiveness, performance, data integrity, maintainability, and scalability. The role also involves contributing expertise on significant application components, program languages, databases, operating systems, etc., and guiding/mentoring the team during the build and test phases. The candidate must be located within commuting distance of Raleigh, NC, or be willing to relocate to the area. This position may require travel to project locations. Required qualifications include a Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent from an accredited institution, or three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education. At least 2 years of Information Technology experience is necessary, with a focus on Python. Preferred qualifications include at least 4 years of experience in Python programming, experience in end-to-end implementation of projects in Python, and a good understanding of OOPS concepts. Strong knowledge in Data Structures, Algorithms, Collections, Multi-threading, and memory management is essential, along with experience in SQL and Unix shell scripting. Familiarity with Python frameworks like Django and Flask, as well as knowledge in React.js and RESTful APIs, is also preferred. The candidate should possess strong problem-solving, analytical, and interpersonal skills, with excellent written and verbal communication abilities. The job entails sitting as well as working at a computer for extended periods of time, and the candidate should be able to communicate effectively by telephone, email, or face-to-face.
