About the position

The Python Developer will play a crucial role in building and maintaining the in-house risk management and reporting systems for an investment adviser firm. This position involves integrating and customizing third-party libraries essential for the firm's operations, ensuring that the systems are efficient and meet business requirements.

Responsibilities

• Develop, support, document, and test the firm's custom risk management and reporting systems.
• Write well organized and thought-out documentation using Confluence.
• Identify performance bottlenecks and system bugs, and devise solutions to these problems.
• Work directly with the business teams to translate requirements into functional applications.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science required.
• 3-10 years of software engineering experience.
• Strong experience with Python Development or SQL Server Development (preferably both).
• Understanding fundamental design principles and has skill writing clean, readable, smartly commented code.
• Experience with C#, Java, or C++.
• Financial industry/markets experience a plus.
• Experience with continuous integration and GIT.
