About the position

Akkodis is seeking a Python Developer for a contract position in Jersey City, NJ or Plano, TX (Hybrid). The role involves designing and building scalable components within a major platform, contributing reusable and extendable code, and ensuring performance and stability of the software.

Responsibilities

• Design and build scalable components within the platform, focusing on performance and stability.
• Provide code reviews and feedback to ensure best practices and optimize code.
• Write reusable, extendable code and contribute to core platform development.
• Develop expertise in deployed code to assist and guide other developers.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines and automate processes for efficient deployment and testing.
• Continuously work to improve the software's simplicity, robustness, and scalability.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Mathematics, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in Python development.
• Proficiency in functional and object-oriented programming, specifically in Python.
• Strong knowledge of algorithms, data structures, and experience with distributed and scalable services.
• Experience with databases, including NoSQL, and CI/CD pipeline automation.
