About the position
The Python/Golang Developer position at MSys Inc. is a long-term hybrid role based in McLean, Virginia. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying scalable applications using cloud-native technologies, with a strong emphasis on AWS and DevOps practices. This role requires a proactive mindset and a commitment to operational excellence through automation and effective use of DevOps methodologies.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deploy scalable applications using Python and GoLang.
- Leverage AWS services such as Lambda, API Gateway, S3, RDS, and DynamoDB in application development.
- Implement DevOps practices including CI/CD pipelines and containerization.
- Utilize Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform or CloudFormation for deployment.
- Develop microservices architecture and RESTful APIs.
- Monitor application performance using tools like Prometheus, Grafana, or CloudWatch.
Requirements
- Proficiency in Python and GoLang for backend development.
- Strong experience with AWS services such as Lambda, API Gateway, S3, RDS, DynamoDB, and IAM.
- Solid understanding of DevOps principles and experience with CI/CD pipelines, containerization, and orchestration.
- Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Knowledge of microservices architecture and RESTful APIs.
- Experience with logging and monitoring tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, or CloudWatch).
- Familiarity with relational and NoSQL databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, DynamoDB.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a proactive mindset.
