Responsibilities

• Operate a computer numerical control (CNC) laser cutting machine safely and productively, ensuring quality standards are met.
• Load raw material into CNC laser cutting machines and adjust parameters such as focal point, feed rate, and power.
• Label and tag finished parts accurately and deliver them to designated areas.
• Monitor laser/Python operations for proper and safe functioning, recording machine code errors and communicating issues to the supervisor.
• Use inspection tools like micrometers, calipers, and tape measures to ensure quality.
• Deburr and clean parts as necessary.
• Maintain quality, productivity, and safety records.
• Perform regular preventive maintenance and maintain supplies.
• Assist other operators with machine operation, inspection, and cleaning tasks.
• Keep the work area clean and organized.

Requirements

• High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of experience operating CNC machines.
• Familiarity with operating CNC laser cutting machines and ensuring quality standards.
• Licensed forklift truck operator.
• Experience operating cranes for at least 2 years.
• Team-oriented and collaborative mindset.
• Ability to work under time constraints and meet deadlines.
• Good time management skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to read a tape measure and micrometer.
• Knowledge of CNC laser-cutting operations.
