About the position
The Python Platform Engineer will be responsible for building a Generative AI Platform that enables teams and applications to leverage AI safely and efficiently. This role requires a blend of software engineering and cloud infrastructure expertise, focusing on rapid development and deployment in a startup-like environment within a larger enterprise.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain applications using Python programming.
- Design and build scalable and highly available serverless and stateful systems on AWS.
- Configure and deploy CI/CD pipelines using Gitlab.
- Implement Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver optimal solutions.
- Utilize various AWS services including Lambda, ECS, S3, Dynamo DB, API Gateway, SQS, IAM, and Security Groups.
Requirements
- At least 7 years of experience in Python programming, particularly in application service development.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience with AWS services such as Lambda, ECS, S3, Dynamo DB, API Gateway, SQS, IAM, and Security Groups.
- Proficient in Infrastructure as Code, preferably with Terraform.
- Experience in configuring and deploying CI/CD pipelines in Gitlab.
- Familiarity with microservice development patterns.
- Experience working in an agile environment.
Nice-to-haves
- AI/ML experience or certification.
- Experience with Apigee.
