About the position

The position is for a Python Analytic Developer within Leidos' prototype development program, focusing on innovative solutions for mission operations. The role involves transitioning database functionalities, developing prototypes, and providing support for analytic front ends, all while collaborating closely with customers in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Transition the functionality of the PostGIS database and Jupyter Notebook based on customer direction.
• Develop prototypes to answer new questions and improve existing answers based on customer needs.
• Create user-facing query forms to leverage stored data for geospatial analysis.
• Provide development support to analytic front ends to ensure conformity and performance to proposed GUI designs.
• Offer operational maintenance and support for Customized/Do It Yourself analytics.
• Serve as a subject matter expert for metric generation, usage, and applications.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree plus 5 years of relevant experience or Master's degree plus 3 years of relevant experience.
• An Associate's degree plus 7 years of relevant experience or high school diploma/GED plus 9 years of relevant experience may be considered for individuals with in-depth experience.
• Computer Science (CS) degree or related field.
• TS/SCI clearance with polygraph.
• Strong Python skills using PySpark, developing software in Red Hat Linux (versions 3 - 5+).
• Experience with Jupyter Notebooks.
• Experience with Machine Learning.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with GHOSTMACHINE analytic development.
• Familiarity with Query Time Analytics and DX.
• Familiarity with Redshift.
• Familiarity with Pandas.
• Familiarity with PostgreSQL.
