Sammons Financial Group is seeking a skilled QA Analyst 3 to join our team in West Des Moines, IA. This full-time position offers a competitive salary range of $52,938 to $110,288 per year, depending on qualifications and experience. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in quality assurance, particularly in automation and optimizing QA and DevOps practices. The role involves both automated and manual testing, requiring a comprehensive understanding of various testing tools and methodologies. As a QA Analyst, you will be responsible for leading testing efforts for moderately complex projects, actively participating in daily standup meetings, story grooming sessions, and team retrospectives. You will collaborate with project teams to develop effective testing strategies and plans, ensuring that all business requirements and acceptance criteria are met. Your expertise in automated testing tools such as Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, and Cucumber will be crucial in executing test cases and analyzing results. Additionally, familiarity with CI/CD tools like Azure Pipelines, Jenkins, and GitLab CI is essential for this role. The position requires a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, along with a minimum of four years of quality assurance experience. Strong mathematical aptitude and the ability to understand and create SQL queries are preferred. You will also need excellent communication skills to effectively interact with various stakeholders and team members. Responsibilities

  • Lead testing for moderately complex projects.
  • Participate in daily standup meetings, story grooming sessions, and team retrospectives.
  • Review business requirements, stories, and define acceptance criteria.
  • Identify positive, negative, and complex scenarios for testing.
  • Facilitate agreement on test plans or acceptance criteria with business partners, product owners, and project team members.
  • Estimate test planning and execution efforts based on requirements, stories, and development approach.
  • Collaborate with project teams to develop effective strategies and test plans.
  • Define testing risks and mitigation strategies and implement accordingly.
  • Document traceability of business requirements, stories, and technical specifications to test cases.
  • Manage testing tasks against plan at a team and project level and communicate status to agile team, project team, and management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related major is preferred.
  • Minimum 4 years' quality assurance experience related to the development and execution of test cases and analysis of testing results.
  • Experience with automated testing tools such as Selenium, QTP, JUnit, TestNG, or Cucumber.
  • Knowledge of scripting languages to automate tasks and tests.
  • Understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), Agile, and DevOps processes.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Azure Pipelines, Jenkins, Travis CI, CircleCI, or GitLab CI.
  • Experience with version control systems like Git.
  • Strong mathematical aptitude and ability to understand and create SQL queries.
