About the position

The position requires collaboration with business teams and offshore leads to drive testing efforts, as well as participation in various project meetings and reviews. The role is based in Houston, TX, and requires local candidates due to the onsite nature of the job.

Responsibilities

• Perform API testing with a focus on functional and automation aspects.
• Analyze requirements related to AWS cloud migrations.
• Prepare test plans and define testing requirements.
• Interact with business teams for clarifications and collaborate with offshore leads.
• Review test strategies, test plans, and test cases.
• Conduct sanity, functional, and regression testing, and report consolidated testing results and release sign-off reports.
• Participate in requirements grooming sessions, Scrum meetings, business review calls, and release cutover calls.
• Understand the bug life cycle, report issues, prioritize them, and represent them in release sign-offs.
• Support automation sprint models and be flexible to work in CST.

Requirements

• Strong API testing skills in both functional and automation testing.
• Experience with AWS cloud migrations and related requirements analysis.
• Ability to prepare comprehensive test plans and testing requirements.
• Good communication skills for interaction with business teams and offshore leads.
• Experience in reviewing test strategies, test plans, and test cases.
• Proficiency in performing various types of testing including sanity, functional, and regression testing.
• Familiarity with the bug life cycle and issue reporting.
