We are looking for a Quality Assurance Analyst II to join our citrus team at the manufacturing site located in Winter Haven, Florida. As the Quality Assurance Analyst II, you will maintain daily operations of all analytical equipment to include upkeep and development of methods pertaining to Gas Chromatographs, Mass Spectrometer, standard lab instruments and titration setups. Management and supervision of the lab testing designed for citrus materials based on individual product specifications from initial material inspection to finished product approvals. All testing to be conducted in a manner consistent with regulatory guidelines set for each material with regards to its safety, quality, and legality of manufacturing. Must operate and maintain sophisticated analytical instruments (GCs, GCMS) including the scheduling of preventative maintenance to ensure 24/7 trouble-free operation. Maintain and develop methods required to meet the demands of the citrus industry. Provide analytical evaluation of citrus materials (RMs to FPs), making pass/fail decisions. Generates analytical documentation to support the “make risk analysis and usage decisions” for product non-conformances. Actively and accurately provide analytical feedback to colleagues, open to discussion & proactively recommend process improvements. Perform chemical, physical, and organoleptic analysis of citrus materials according to SOPs. Use Oracle and Microsoft Excel for the input and retrieval of data for all samples tested. Provide technical assistance as needed for internal and external customers. Assure all retained samples are identified and properly stored. Laboratory housekeeping based on Good Lab Practices. Utilize appropriate EHS and Food Safety Practices while performing job function.
