About the position

Our client is currently seeking a QA Analyst - II to join their team. This position is open to candidates from various locations, with a preference for Alpharetta, GA, and Temple Terrace, FL. The working model is hybrid, meaning that while there are no strict in-office requirements, candidates should be prepared to come in at least once a month if needed. The QA Analyst will play a crucial role in ensuring that software functionality meets customer needs and performs as designed. This involves developing and maintaining test scenarios and end-user test scripts, utilizing automation software, and implementing automation best practices. The successful candidate will thoroughly test software to ensure proper operations, document all problems, and work towards their resolution. In this role, the QA Analyst will be responsible for ensuring that software releases and documentation meet requirements, are installed correctly, and executed with quality. They will create and execute regression testing, develop test plans, and perform builds of applications. Additionally, the QA Analyst will assemble and build software project plans, communicate with both internal and external customers regarding installation issues and software defects, and perform quality assurance testing for applications. This position requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to delivering high-quality software products.

Responsibilities

  • Develops and maintains test scenarios and end user test scripts to verify new functionality performs as designed and meets customer needs.
  • Utilizes automation software and implements automation best practices.
  • Thoroughly tests software to ensure proper operations, documents all problems, and works to resolve them.
  • Ensures software releases and documentation meet requirements, are installed correctly, and executed with quality.
  • Creates and executes regression testing, test plans, and performs builds of applications.
  • Assembles and builds software project plans.
  • Communicates with customers (internal and external) regarding installation issues and software defects.
  • Performs quality assurance testing for applications.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree, or equivalent; preferably in Computer Information Systems or Management Information Systems (MIS).
  • At least 3-5 years of experience in a QA/UAT Analyst role.
  • Ability to maintain and run automation scripts.
  • Ability to balance technical skills with business savvy, transforming end-user requirements into system and end-user test cases.
  • Ability to quickly learn and adapt to various business systems and processes as well as testing tools and methodologies.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills; able to work efficiently while meeting tight deadlines and multiple competing priorities.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to work creatively in a problem-solving environment and think outside the box to ensure thorough testing.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to take initiative in researching problems and proposing solutions.
  • Willingness to work flexible and/or extended hours to complete project tasks and coordinate migrations and/or calls with stakeholders in various time zones after hours.
