About the position

The role involves working closely with the lead or Manager to create a high-level test plan for various applications or projects under test. The candidate will ensure alignment with organizational goals and project requirements while performing in-depth functional, system, and system integration testing. Responsibilities include writing quality, maintainable, and efficient test scenarios, cases, and scripts using Azure DevOps (ADO), collaborating with cross-functional teams, documenting and reporting bugs with detailed analysis, and providing regular test progress updates to stakeholders through dashboards and reports. The role also emphasizes identifying areas for improvement in the QA process, establishing quality standards, mentoring junior QA analysts, and working closely with development and product teams to understand requirements and provide feedback on potential risks.

Responsibilities

• Create high-level test plans for applications or projects under test
• Perform in-depth functional, system, and system integration testing
• Write quality, maintainable, and efficient test scenarios, cases, and scripts using ADO
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on testing and resolution
• Document and report bugs with detailed analysis, severity, and priority levels
• Provide regular test progress updates to stakeholders through dashboards/reports
• Identify areas of improvement in the QA process and implement best practices
• Establish quality standards and ensure adherence across projects
• Mentor junior QA analysts by providing guidance, training, and technical support
• Work closely with development, business analysts, and product teams to understand requirements
• Provide feedback on potential risks and recommend solutions early in the project lifecycle
• Leverage tools like ADO, JIRA, Selenium, TestNG for test case management
• Follow established QA processes and methodologies via peer reviews
• Collaborate and communicate test issues with technical and non-technical team members
• Execute test scripts and analyze test results
• Participate in team meetings to understand test solutions

Requirements

• Understanding of SDLC, STLC, and Agile methodologies
• Experience with API testing concepts and tools like Postman or SoapUI
• Experience with Financial modules, Mainframe, or JDE is a plus
• Front End or Middle tier experience
• Familiarity with Azure DevOps, Jira, or any QA Management tool

Nice-to-haves

• Basic knowledge in test automation tools (e.g., Ranorex, Selenium)
• Knowledge of programming languages (e.g., Python, Java, or JavaScript)
• Experience identifying inefficiencies in QA processes and implementing improvements
