About the position

The QA Analyst for Platform & API Testing is responsible for ensuring the functionality and integration of backend services and APIs, particularly in scenarios where no UI/UX is available. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with a strong background in platform-level testing, capable of working independently in a fast-paced environment to deliver high-quality results.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive platform and API testing, ensuring seamless integration and functionality without relying on UI/UX interfaces.
• Design, document, and execute test cases for backend services and APIs, identifying issues and working with development teams to resolve them.
• Develop and implement test strategies for applications in early development stages where UI/UX is limited or unavailable.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify testing requirements, improve test coverage, and maintain quality standards.
• Actively monitor, track, and report on testing progress, proactively raising concerns, and following up on issue resolution.
• Provide input on system design and architecture from a testing perspective, ensuring testability and reliability.

Requirements

• Strong experience in platform and API testing, including proficiency with tools like Postman, REST Assured, or similar.
• Proven ability to work effectively when testing applications with limited or no UI/UX, focusing on backend functionality and API calls.
• Detail-oriented and proactive in identifying potential issues and proposing solutions early in the development process.
• Familiarity with test automation tools for API testing is a plus.
• Solid understanding of software testing methodologies, including functional, integration, and system testing.
• Ability to work independently and communicate effectively across teams.
