About the position

The QA Analyst, UI and Front End at IXL Learning is responsible for ensuring the quality of front-end web applications with a strong emphasis on UI testing. This role involves collaborating closely with product managers and engineers to develop and execute test strategies for new features, ultimately contributing to the enhancement of educational technology products used by millions globally.

Responsibilities

• Ensure quality on front-end web applications with a strong focus on UI testing.
• Review business requirements and develop test plans, test cases, test estimations, and test execution reports.
• Perform functionality, regression, integration, UI, smoke, exploratory, stress, and performance testing.
• Manage all communications related to QA status on a daily basis and report potential risks during all stages of the development lifecycle.
• Work closely with development and product teams to resolve any issues that arise out of the testing process.
• Analyze test results and facilitate resolution of issues.
• Iterate on existing testing processes and standards to improve efficiency and accuracy.

Requirements

• BA/BS degree required.
• Strong design skills and experience in web design, UI, and UX.
• Ability to work both independently and on a wide variety of teams.
• Passion for making bulletproof applications and improving education through technology.
• Self-motivated, detail-oriented, proactive, and collaborative.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Knowledge of JIRA, Unix, SQL, JavaScript, and source control is a plus.
