About the position

The QA Analyst is responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of software applications through rigorous testing processes. This role involves developing test plans, executing tests, analyzing results, and collaborating with development teams to identify and resolve issues. The QA Analyst will also lead projects aimed at assessing quality, optimizing performance, and ensuring adherence to testing governance policies.

Responsibilities

  • Perform tests on technical solutions to isolate and solve issues.
  • Develop test plans, QA and User Acceptance Testing processes and test cases.
  • Design and support user interface testing applications and regression testing software.
  • Test software applications for reliability and stability.
  • Implement testing programs for quality assurance on technical applications, including negative testing and usability.
  • Lead projects to perform quality assessments that expose security flaws and identify areas of optimization.
  • Design and run automated testing scripts with oversight for deployment of tests.
  • Create quality assurance documentation and reports as required.
  • Adhere to established software testing governance policies and recommend improvements.
  • Maintain a database with product defects, user reviews, and functional improvements.
  • Coordinate with product development teams and software engineers to recommend solutions to maximize performance and efficiency.
  • Perform reviews, walkthroughs, or inspections adhering to established governance standards.

Requirements

  • 3 years translating business requirements or policy documentation into test cases and scenarios.
  • 3 years building test cases and scenarios into test systems.
  • 2 years of experience testing IBM Curam software.
  • Ability to document and support the development of test scenarios/cases and execute testing activities.
  • Strong communication skills to publish status reports of open issues and articulate details to Development teams.

Nice-to-haves

  • 5+ years large enterprise or e-business systems experience.
  • Deep knowledge of healthcare operations (preferably Medicaid) and business processes.
  • Proficient in Atlassian tool suite including JIRA and Confluence.
  • Prior experience working in a standard SDLC (waterfall methodology) and in an AGILE delivery.
