About the position

The QA Analyst position is focused on ensuring the delivery of high-quality software through thorough testing processes. The role requires expertise in mobile and backend testing, along with strong technical skills and effective communication abilities. The ideal candidate will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve software defects, maintaining comprehensive documentation and reporting on test results.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough mobile testing for iOS and Android platforms.
• Perform backend testing to validate APIs, database interactions, and system integrations.
• Utilize and implement testing tools like Selenium, JUnit, and other relevant frameworks.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify, document, and resolve software defects.
• Maintain test case documentation and provide clear, actionable reports on test results.

Requirements

• Strong programming knowledge, with experience in Python, Java, or JavaScript (JavaScript preferred).
• Proficiency in shell scripting, such as PowerShell (preferred), Bash, or DOS Batch.
• Hands-on experience with development environments (IDE) like Visual Studio Code (preferred), Eclipse, or JetBrains IntelliJ/WebStorm.
• Familiarity with version control systems, including GitLab (preferred), Subversion, or IBM Rational Team Concert (RTC).
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines using tools like GitLab CI (preferred) or Jenkins.
• Experience with work item management tools like JIRA (preferred), TFS, or IBM RTC.
• Expertise in test case management tools such as qTest (preferred), TestLink, or Zephyr.
• Hands-on experience with UI testing frameworks, including Appium, Selenium, and wdio (preferred).
• Proficiency in API testing frameworks, especially Postman (preferred).
• Familiarity with unit testing frameworks like JUnit (preferred) or Cypress.

• Optional exposure to specialized testing areas like accessibility, security, and performance testing.
