About the position

As a Quality Assurance Analyst at Kodable, you will ensure the quality and performance of the Kodable game and its supporting tools. This role involves close collaboration with the development team to support engineering and continuous testing throughout the game's creation process. You will play a vital role in the development cycle by participating in project reviews and meetings, ensuring that quality assurance is integrated into every aspect of the development process.

Responsibilities

• Test features, systems, feature sets, test cases, and assets on assigned projects.
• Accurately and efficiently report bugs, inconsistencies, and other issues.
• Spot areas for improvement to enhance the product's efficiency and quality.
• Ensure that the final product satisfies the product requirements and meets end-user expectations.
• Create and maintain feature-driven test plans.
• Lead bug triage and smoke testing efforts.
• Be a visible, vocal, and integrated part of all product meetings and timelines.
• Always know the current state of the product - what's broken, what has been fixed, and what is about to be fixed.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in video game quality assurance, preferably with mobile games.
• A passion for video games and the Quality Assurance discipline.
• Detailed knowledge of Issue Tracking/Task Management systems such as Testflight, Github Issues, Asana/Jira.
• Knowledgeable about different browser and mobile device versions and issues that might arise.
• Experience shipping or working on a live game.

Nice-to-haves

• Knowledge of the latest mobile hardware, especially as it pertains to 'gotchas' for developing on certain platforms.
• Experience working in educational games and familiarity with the nuances of edtech.
• Experience with Unity.
• Experience with crash reporting systems such as Sentry/MS App Studio.
• Experience with analytics systems such as Mixpanel and Amplitude.
