About the position

The QA Analyst will be part of a project team responsible for implementing a new statewide Voter Registration system in Nevada. This role involves ensuring the quality and functionality of the software through various testing activities, including business analysis, test case creation, execution, and defect tracking. The position requires collaboration with cross-functional teams and a strong focus on documentation and communication.

Responsibilities

• Conduct business analysis and requirements gathering by interviewing key stakeholders to document and prioritize fixes and enhancements needed for product go live.
• Create detailed test cases based on internal and external user feedback.
• Execute test cases to identify defects, ensure functionality, and verify that the software meets quality standards.
• Document and track defects, issues, and deviations from project specifications, working closely with the project team to troubleshoot and resolve identified issues.
• Perform regression testing to ensure that new software versions or updates do not adversely affect existing functionality.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including vendors, product managers, and business analysts, to communicate testing progress, issues, and recommendations.
• Create and maintain documentation related to testing processes, test cases, and testing results.

Requirements

• Familiarity with testing tools such as Azure DevOps, JIRA, and others.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve issues effectively.
• Excellent communication skills to collaborate with team members and convey testing results and recommendations to stakeholders.
• Thorough attention to detail to ensure comprehensive test coverage and accurate defect reporting.
• Ability to adapt to changing project requirements, priorities, and timelines.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
