About the position

The Quality Assurance Analyst is responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive testing strategy within the retail technology and DevOps environment. This role focuses on ensuring the functionality, security, performance, compatibility, and usability of various software and hardware components. The QA Analyst will collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to enhance quality assurance processes and communicate testing outcomes effectively.

Responsibilities

• Develop test strategy plans, scenarios, and cases.
• Support, maintain, and enhance all test case automation activities during iterative development, system testing, and regression testing.
• Run test scripts against various POS software and hardware components, custom-built applications, COTS, and SaaS applications.
• Ensure product teams provide clear documentation outlining feature enhancements, release components, and other changes.
• Create reports that communicate test status and findings.
• Make recommendations to enhance QA processes.
• Utilize SQL database and SSRS for data analysis.
• Communicate test strategies and activities to team members bi-weekly.
• Work directly with third-party vendors to test new releases within the POS and mobile technology stack.
• Contribute during vendor management calls to escalate QA concerns and clarify program aspects.
• Partner with internal teams and vendors to assess and identify solutions for bugs/defects.
• Review release management notes and provide feedback on user features.

Requirements

• Strong communication skills to work with multiple external vendors and internal teams.
• Experience in developing test strategies and executing test plans.
• Proficiency in SQL and SSRS for data analysis.
• Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively within DevOps and Retail Technology teams.
• Experience with various testing methodologies including functional, security, performance, compatibility, and usability testing.

Nice-to-haves

• Familiarity with Microsoft products, JIRA, Asana, and Teams.
• Experience in working with POS and mobile technology stacks.
