You will be responsible for developing, implementing, maintaining, and enhancing test plans, scripts, and methodologies that guarantee comprehensive testing of all assigned software systems, ensuring compliance with system and risk/compliance specifications. In this position, you will evaluate and test software programs and development life cycle procedures. You will write, revise, and validate quality standards and test procedures for program design and product evaluation, aiming to achieve software quality efficiently. Your responsibilities will include developing testing plans and scripts that encompass conditions, expected results, and test data, all while adhering to established guidelines. You will demonstrate thorough knowledge in performing moderate to complex testing procedures, evaluating requirements and functional/technical designs to identify potential risks early in the development cycle, and validating functionality according to business requirements. Additionally, you will manage software defect tracking and resolution, execute test plans, and analyze metrics to ensure quality assurance throughout the software development process. You will utilize tools such as Quality Center to develop test plans and scripts based on business requirements and technical specifications, and employ automated testing tools to enhance the efficiency of the testing environment. Documentation will be a key part of your role, as you will provide necessary materials to demonstrate that programs perform according to user requests and conform to guidelines. You will also support the Voya DevOps platform tools and processes to ensure adherence to quality standards during code migration and execution. Your recommendations for improvements or corrections will be vital in collaborating with developers, Business Systems Analysts, and QA management. Staying current with QA/Test industry standards will be essential to effectively manage and follow QA processes, ensuring that all organizational and IT policies are upheld.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, maintain, and enhance test plans, test scripts, and test methodologies.
  • Evaluate and test software programs and software development life cycle procedures.
  • Write, revise, and validate quality standards and test procedures for program design and product evaluation.
  • Develop testing plans/scripts that include conditions, expected results, and test data based on testing standards.
  • Demonstrate thorough knowledge in performing moderate to complex testing procedures.
  • Evaluate requirements and functional/technical designs to identify and analyze potential risks early in the development cycle.
  • Manage software defect tracking and resolution.
  • Execute test plans, manage defect management, and analyze metrics for quality assurance.
  • Utilize Quality Center to develop test plans/scripts based on business requirements and technical specifications.
  • Employ automated testing tools to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the testing environment.
  • Provide documentation, diagrams, flow charts, and other materials to demonstrate program performance according to user requests.
  • Support the Voya DevOps platform tools and processes to ensure adherence to quality processes during code migration and execution.

Requirements

  • Two to five years of Quality Assurance and Testing experience, including writing detailed test cases, test plans, and strategies.
  • Prior experience with web, client server, and/or mainframe applications.
  • Knowledge of SDLC Testing and Quality Standards, including architecture, infrastructure, and security.
  • Familiarity with DevOps Technology, Quality and Risk compliance Testing & Quality Industry Standards.
  • Experience with Change Management, including code migrations to QA and ServiceNow tickets.
  • Project Management and Financial Management skills, including work effort estimates.
  • Knowledge of end-to-end testing/regression testing of all AM/AE application and infrastructure changes.
  • Experience in developing test plans, test scripts, and maintaining test methodologies.
  • Understanding of software risk and compliance, business requirements, and functional requirements.
