About the position

The QA Analyst role at Epic Games focuses on ensuring the quality of products within the Level Design, Modeling, and World Creation space of the Unreal Engine. The position involves collaborating with designers, engineers, and producers to define testing strategies, assess risks, and oversee the testing process to enhance user experience. The ideal candidate will have a background in game QA or game engine QA, with a strong emphasis on innovation and quality assurance processes.

Responsibilities

• Act as a QA stakeholder in the Level Design, Modeling, and World Creation space of the Unreal Engine.
• Work with developers, producers, and QA management to define acceptance criteria and identify risks.
• Plan testing coverage for upcoming features/releases.
• Coordinate automated, functional, qualitative, and performance testing efforts.
• Build test strategies and test plans to cover multiple features in a dynamic environment.
• Use a mix of manual and technical testing skills to execute various testing techniques.
• Track and report on quality data to drive conversations around product quality.

Requirements

• 2+ years of software testing experience in a fast-paced environment.
• Solid understanding of test methodologies and iterative development.
• Experience in functional and usability testing in your domain of expertise.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced working environment and manage multiple projects.
• Knowledge in game engines or 3D software toolsets, particularly UE4/5, modeling, level design, and/or world creation toolsets.

Nice-to-haves
