The QA Analyst is a crucial role within Shiji, responsible for ensuring that our Point of Sale (POS) and Payment Management System (PMS) applications meet the highest standards of quality. This position involves conducting thorough testing, identifying defects and issues, and collaborating closely with the development team to ensure that all issues are identified and resolved promptly. The QA Analyst will create comprehensive test plans, test cases, and reports, while maintaining clear communication with stakeholders throughout the testing process. In this role, the QA Analyst will review design specifications to understand the scope, requirements, and functionality of the software product. They will identify appropriate parameters, functions, and methods to test and validate the applications. The QA Analyst will conduct testing to ensure that products perform according to user requirements and within established guidelines. This includes identifying, logging, and recreating error codes, bugs, and defects, as well as performing sanity and full regression testing of POS and PMS applications, adhering to QA policies, processes, and documentation standards. Additionally, the QA Analyst will conduct testing on new code to ensure compliance with functional requirements, technical specifications, and PCI standards, ensuring seamless integration with existing systems. They will develop comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test reports, raising bug tickets for any issues found during testing. The role also involves conducting root cause analysis of issues and working closely with development teams to ensure timely resolution. The QA Analyst will review third-party specifications and complete external certifications with payment processors, ensuring that all requirements are met. Participation in an Agile Scrum environment and collaboration with cross-functional teams and external partners are also key aspects of this role. Maintaining clear and concise communication with all stakeholders is essential, as is adherence to standardized QA policies, processes, and documentation standards.
