About the position

The QA Analyst position is a contract role focused on ensuring the quality of software development projects through various testing methodologies. The role requires a strong background in both manual and automated testing, with an emphasis on user acceptance testing (UAT) and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams. The QA Analyst will be responsible for developing and executing test plans, documenting test cases, and ensuring comprehensive test coverage for applications.

Responsibilities

• Perform manual and automated testing using supported tools.
• Review and analyze system specifications including requirements and design documents.
• Identify missing test cases and create or modify existing test cases for improved test coverage.
• Document Requirement Traceability Matrices (RTM) and confirm applications are ready for UAT.
• Document test cases and test results effectively.
• Prepare sample data for testing purposes.
• Conduct various types of testing including system testing, regression testing, and performance testing.
• Work with cross-functional teams to validate product quality throughout the development life cycle.

Requirements

• At least three (3) years of experience in software testing.
• Experience in mid-scale or large-scale system development projects.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks effectively.
• Experience in documenting test cases and test results.
• Familiarity with defect management tools such as TFS and JIRA.
• Experience with SDLC and agile methodologies.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with mobile device testing.
• Preferred experience in the public sector.
• Training or certifications in software testing such as CSTE or CAST.
