About the position

The QA Analyst will be a detail-oriented individual responsible for testing our products in a fast-paced environment. The QA Analyst will uphold and promote our core values by working as a team player. Responsibilities include conducting manual, comprehensive testing of our applications to ensure they meet the highest standards of quality and functionality. This encompasses identifying and documenting defects, updating product documentation, collaborating with development teams to resolve issues, and providing insightful feedback to drive continuous improvement. This is a hybrid position with a requirement of at least 3 days in the office.

Responsibilities

  • Testing of new features based on requirements and specifications
  • Conduct manual functional, regression, and exploratory testing to identify defects
  • Work closely with product managers and designers to understand customer needs, ensuring the delivery of quality and value
  • Work closely with developers to build features and ensure comprehensive test coverage
  • Triage, document, and track defects to facilitate solutions during the testing phase
  • Document test findings and maintain accurate product documentation
  • Provide input on automated tests for features being developed
  • Contribute to process improvements to enhance quality and efficiency
  • Participate in daily standups, planning sessions, and other regular meetings
  • Work under general supervision with the flexibility for independent decision-making

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in software testing for web and/or mobile applications
  • Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or similar technical discipline or equivalent experience
  • Experience in BDD automation frameworks is a plus
  • Experience with mobile testing is a plus

  • Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making abilities, including the ability to clarify issues, understand the bigger picture, demonstrate resilience, evaluate all options, identify solutions, and measure performance against goals
  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and designers
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, such as is easily approachable, builds rapport well, is a good listener, spends effort to put others at ease, uses diplomacy and tact, and can diffuse high-tension situations comfortably
  • Desire and ability to develop deep product and domain knowledge
  • Knowledge of and ability to articulate key concepts in software testing
  • Experience in identifying, documenting, and tracking defects in tools, such as JIRA
  • Ability to balance the concerns of satisfying specific acceptance criteria and solving the underlying business problem for the customer
