About the position

The QA-ETL Tester position at BCforward involves collaborating with various teams to ensure the quality and functionality of software through rigorous testing processes. The role focuses on executing tests, managing defects, and reporting on test progress while working in a hybrid environment. The ideal candidate will have experience in functional software testing, data validation, and ETL testing, along with proficiency in SQL and automation tools.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Product owner, scrum master, development, system, and release management teams to certify and promote code to higher level environments.
• Own test execution, defect management, test progress reporting, and escalation of issues and risks.
• Condition and generate test data in compliance with test data requirements.
• Manage sensitive test data.
• Conduct functional software testing and data testing/validation.
• Write advanced SQL queries for testing purposes.
• Perform ETL testing and utilize Tosca Test Automation tool.
• Work within Agile methodology and utilize Jira for project management.
• Communicate effectively in written and verbal formats, multitask, and prioritize under demanding situations.

Requirements

• Experience in functional software testing.
• Understanding and experience in data testing/validation.
• Advanced skills in writing SQL queries.
• Experience in ETL testing.
• Experience with Tosca Test Automation tool.
• Familiarity with Agile methodology and Jira.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
